There are two main technical routes for hydrogen production equipment power supply: thyristor (SCR) power supply and insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) power supply
Thyristor power supply technology is mature, low-cost, and suitable for high-power scenarios, but its friendliness to the power grid is poor, and its dynamic response speed is slow
IGBT power supply is more friendly to the power grid and has a higher overall system conversion efficiency, making it a popular choice in the industry
The selection should be based on the project scale, initial investment, operating costs, and type of electrolytic cell (such as alkaline electrolytic cell or PEM electrolytic cell)
Power supply and applicable scenarios of hydrogen oxygen equipment
The power of the power supply needs to match the equipment requirements. For example, household hydrogen absorbers typically have lower power (such as 20-60W), while industrial grade hydrogen production equipment may require a WM level power supply
The following are examples of power supplies with different power ranges:
Low power (<100W): Suitable for small household hydrogen absorbers, such as MH-150HL-7V power supply.
Medium power (100W-1kW): such as 180W switching power supply, suitable for small and medium-sized hydrogen oxygen machines.
Safety and stability of hydrogen oxygen equipment power supply
The power supply needs to have overcurrent and overvoltage protection functions, and comply with safety standards (such as GB, CE, RoHS). For example, the power supply of the hydrogen oxygen machine should be able to stably output constant current or constant voltage, avoiding the impact of voltage fluctuations on equipment life or safety. Some products offer services such as "exchange only, no repair" and "damaged package return", which can be given priority consideration. High power (>1kW): such as high-power switching power supplies, used for industrial hydrogen production or welding equipment.
